Enrolling Your Child
As a Catholic elementary and middle school in Waldorf, MD, St. Peter’s School offers Pre-K through 8th grade classrooms. We encourage prospective parents to visit the school prior to entering an admissions application. Our admissions application window opens each December.
A tour is an excellent way to determine if the school is a good fit for your family. Tours are offered by appointment on weekdays by contacting the school office at 301-843-1955.
Pre-K & Kindergarten
Upon receipt of an admissions application, prospective applicants for Pre-K and Kindergarten will be assessed for readiness using a predetermined standardized assessment. In an effort to best serve the school and keep the student population at maximum efficiency, the principal, in collaboration with the Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers, may accept or decline new students outside the date of birth parameters as stated above in extenuating circumstances.
Grades 1 – 8
Scholarship & Financial Aid
Living Our Catholic Faith Scholarship
The Living Our Catholic Faith Scholarship is offered to registered, participating members of any Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Washington and is $2,300 per student. The scholarship form must be signed by your parish priest and documentation of the sacraments (i.e. baptismal certificate) must be submitted to the school office in order to qualify.
Financial Aid is offered through the Archdiocese of Washington and is need-based. Documentation, such as tax documents, are required for evaluation. Families may apply beginning in early October through early February.
*Must create a TADS account and apply for admission before applying for Financial Aid.
Tuition & Fees
Please note that unlike many other Catholic schools, we charge no additional universal fees, such as book, registration, and technology fees. This approach gives everyone a clearer picture of the cost of a St. Peter’s School education.
